Description
This is a hand painted oil reproduction of Pablo Picasso’s “Three Musicians”. “Three Musicians” portrays three solemn or even majestic musicians in a bare and boxlike room. Two characters, the masked Pierrot (left) playing the clarinet, and the Harlequin (center), are stock characters typically used in old Italian comic theater. But in this work, and many others, the Harlequin also represents Picasso himself. At the right, a singing monk holds sheet music. An easily missed element can be found in the barely visible dog, sitting underneath the musician’s chairs. The intricate, jigsaw-puzzle-like composition sums up the Synthetic Cubist style, and the flat planes of unshaded color recalls the cut and paste paper origins with which the style began.
This painting will enliven and add character to any room. This classic reproduction is commissioned by you and comes made to order. This painting will take 4 to 6 weeks to be painted, although it may be completed sooner.
