Description
This is a hand painted oil reproduction of Vincent Van Gogh’s “Sunflowers.” Van Gogh began painting this series of four paintings of sunflowers to decorate a bedroom in his house for his incoming friend Paul Gauguin. They were originally meant to be a series of 12 paintings of alternating blue and yellow backgrounds, but this was never completed. The sunflowers tell the story of the brevity of life, with each sunflower at various stages in the life cycle from vibrant to fading to wilting.
Painting: 16" X 20"
